To take advantage of a Linux-like environment on your PC, consider
installing Cygwin. It will allow you
to have mode open windows on your PC, after you install the X11 package,
which is needed if you want to run StarLogo from mode, use graphical java,
or use the graphical portions of gnuplot.
Cygwin also has the GNU compilers if you want to install them.
