The Challenge was my first "real" experience as a team leader, real in the sense that it actually resembled the leadership I have done later in the "real" world. Looking back, I did a number of things poorly, especially relating to time management. However the fact that I was able to lead a team to victory in the challenge helped give me confidence to continue taking on leadership roles and building my technical leadership skills to where they are today. - Thomas D., Eldorado High, 2004.
