Text Box: Here at Bloomfield high School, we try and think outside of the box and challenge ourselves. After all, we are just normal students trying to gain a greater understanding of life and hope to fulfill a future for ourselves by creating opportunities that will allow us to earn scholarships in order to pay though some of our college. This web site was designed to show off our model of the epidemic of a bio-terrorist virus, known as the bubonic plague, released in a city.
Text Box: Problems:
Through out this project, I as programmer had many problems to over come. With the help of Janet and John, I was able to create an outstanding model (my first). Our main problem also was how many CDC operatives (antidotes) are needed in order to completely extinguish the disease within one hour? Which patters of personnel deployment facilitate the extermination of the disease?
Also:
Problem: Our programmer was having difficulty figuring out how to make the agents become infected or cured via a collision.
Solution: Janet Penevlope offered advice as to how to create two different agents that perform two different collisions set functions.
This enabled us to model patients becoming infected, as well as cured, via a collision.

Conclusions

Our team hasn’t had sufficient time to analyze the model and all the information it has to offer. We plan to experiment with different deployment numbers and patterns, as well as redevelop our terrain. Our present model overall is fairly basic, but as time progresses, we will expand on our ideas and hopefully develop a program with an accurate real-world application.
